This cultivar was registered by
Mary Chastain of
Lakeside Acres Nursery in Tennessee in 1997 as a hybrid of an unnamed seedling
x H. 'Lakeside
Little Gem'. A small size (8 inches high) plant, it has leaves
that are medium to dark green in the center with creamy yellow
to white margins. It has pale purple flowers in July.
The Book of
Little Hostas (2010) says: "Grows well in good
light -- and larger than the registered size, in our experience. Ideal for the
woodland walk and larger raised bed."
