This sport of H. 'Sparkling Burgundy' was registered in 1999 by Barry Sligh in New Zealand as part of his Kiwi Series of hostas. It forms a large size mound of oblong to ovate shaped foliage. The near white flowers bloom in very late June.

According to The Hostapedia by Mark Zilis (2009), "Foliage color, flower color, plant size, leaf size, etc. do not match what a sport of 'Sparkling Burgundy' should be...appears to be related to 'Blue Angel' or something similar."
