A large size (26 inches
high by 45 inches wide) hosta, this cultivar is a hybrid
of a
seedling of H. 'Dorothy Benedict' × H. 'Elatior' which was registered in
2002 by Dr. Ed Elslager of Michigan. The semi-upright hosta
has green foliage that has creamy yellow to white
streaked variegation. Its leaves are ovate, moderately
wavy, slightly corrugated and have thick substance. Pale
lavender flowers bloom from late June into July. According to
The Hostapedia by Mark Zilis (2009), "By 2005 much of Dr. Ed Elslager of Michigan 's specimen had stabilized
to the green-centered, gold-margined form."
