An introduction by
Wm and Eleanor Lachman of Massachusetts, this hybrid of
(H. 'Banana Sundae' × H. 'Sea Drift')
x H. 'Tokudama
Aureonebulosa' was
registered in 1992. The
large size mound grows to about 21 inches in height
and a spread of 42 inches with foliage that is slightly rippled
and slightly lobed at the base. White flowers bloom in July
followed by viable seeds.
 According to
The Hostapedia by
Mark Zilis (2009), "Graceful" is the word that comes
to mind when I think of this superior Lachman introduction. At
maturity it rates highly in both foliage and flowering
characteristics."
The New Encyclopedia of Hostas by
Diana
Grenfell (2009) states: "Moderate to good growth rate...An outstanding
hosta...Interesting leaf surface texture, white rippled leaf
edge, and white flowers on scapes with white-variegated bracts."
