A sport of a H. 'Fortunei' seedling, this plant was registered
by
Eldren
Minks of Minnesota in 1980. It grows
into a small size hosta about 8 inches tall with a
spread of around 28 inches. The bright green leaves have a
creamy white medial (center) variegation that is heavily
streaked. Pale lavender flowers bloom in July.
According to
The Hostapedia by Mark Zilis (2009), "...its tendency to sport to a very slow-growing
white-centered form led to its demise as a viable cultivar...is
also in the background of three other
Lachman plants,
'Eventide', 'Hampshire County', and 'Shadow Waltz'."
