This
open-pollinated seedling of the species H. nakaiana, was originated by
Ellie Brinkerhoft Springarn and registered on her behalf by
Peter Ruh of Ohio in 1996. The foliage is dull yellow in color. It forms a small size plant (6 inches high by 16 inches
wide) with slightly corrugated, ovate shaped leaves. Medium
purple bloom in July.
The Book of Little Hostas by Kathy and Michael Shadrack
(2010) says: "A very pretty plant that provides excellent color
contrast in a mixed planting."
