Hosta 'Elatior Falls'
 

Originated by Bob Balitewicz of Indiana but registered on his behalf by Don Rawson of Michigan and D. Myers of Indiana in 2016, this cultivar is a seedling of H. 'Elatior' × H. 'Niagara Falls'. It becomes a giant size hosta about 35 inches tall with a spread of around 80 inches. The medium green foliage is heavily rippled, relatively flat and very shiny on top. Tubular flowers bloom in July on scapes up to 65 inches tall followed by green seed pods.

The registration materials state: "Large, semi-upright plant similar to H. 'Elatior' but with a rippled margin like H. 'Niagara Falls'."
 

'Elatior Falls' forms a fast-growing, large semi-upright clump which measures 80" wide by 35" high. The medium-green leaves are 14" long by 10" wide with 15 to 16 vein pairs. Heavily rippled margins and very shiny on top. The scapes are 55 to 65" high with pale lavender flowers in July. Sets viable seed. Similar to 'Elatior', but with the rippled margin of 'Niagara Falls.' Parentage: 'Elatior' x 'Niagara Falls'.
