Originated by
Dr. Doug Beilstein of Ohio and registered by
Robert Hatt of Massachusetts
in
2022,
this cultivar is a seedling of H. 'Clear Fork River Valley' ×
H. 'Blue Shadows'. It is a medium size plant
about 17 inches high by 26 inches wide with dark green
foliage. The nearly round leaves are moderately cupped,
heavily corrugated and twisted. In July, bell-shaped
white flowers bloom on scapes up to 11 inches tall.
Viability of the seeds was
unknown at the time of
registration. The
registration materials state: "Extremely thick dark
green leaves are intensely corrugated and very unruly.
Some leaves are cupped or partially so, some are
twisted sideways or upside down while others are
partially twisted one way then the other. Exceptionally
tough look and feel. White flowers peer out from
underneath the leaves...shiny dark green leaves later in
the season...no two leaves looking the same."
