A medium size sport of H. 'Tokudama
Aureonebulosa', this cultivar was registered by
Ken Anderson of Minnesota in 1980. The blue-green foliage has chartreuse medial (center)
variegation. Its leaves are heavily corrugated with thick
substance. Near white flowers bloom from mid-June into July.
According to
The Hostapedia by Mark Zilis (2009), "...differs from its mother plant, 'Tokudama Aureonebulosa'
by having a chartreuse center, rather than gold...the
differences are striking when grown side-by-side."
"AHS
President's Exhibitor Trophy, 1980, exhibited by Kenneth Anderson. A special
selection of H. 'Tokudama Aureonebulosa'. It has more dark green
variegation. Reversion to the standard form has been reported in some areas."
