A seedling of H. 'Bridegroom',
this cultivar was registered with
The
American Hosta Society in 2004 by
Dr. Dick and Jane Ward of Ohio. The
medium size mound is about 11 inches tall and 39 inches wide
with slightly shiny, heavily rippled leaves. It bears funnel
shaped, medium purple flowers in July.
According to
The Hostapedia by Mark Zilis (2009), "...foliage and flowers harkens
back to its H. ventricosa heritage, though with much
greater rippling of the margin and a narrower flower shape."
