  This seedling of H. 'Outhouse
				Delight' was registered by
									Tony Avent of
Plant Delights Nursery in North Carolina
									in 1995. The foliage
emerges white with green along the veins and then turns green by
mid-summer. It forms a medium size mound about 12 inches tall by up to
48 inches wide. The leaves are ovate, slightly rippled and of
average substance. Very pale lavender flowers bloom in July but
it does not set seeds.
				 From the

Field Guide to Hostas by Mark Zilis (2014), "...does not become as "ratty-looking" as its pod parent, 'Outhouse Delight',
and is certainly a better grower than the currently popular 'White Feather'. An
actively growing clump is truly a sight to behold as 'White Wall Tire' changes
from white to green."
The New Encyclopedia of Hostas by
				Diana
Grenfell (2009) states: "Moderate growth rate."

In an article about hybridizing by
Tony Avent in
			The
Hosta Journal (1996 Vol. 27 No. 1),  Tony gives the
following comments on cultivars he has introduced: "H. 'White Wall Tire' - the
most talked about hosta in our garden...seedling of H. 'Outhouse Delight'...makes a large H. 'Fortunei' like clump of white-frosted leaves...very
vigorous...coming soon to a catalog near you."
