Originated by Jeff Moore of Wisconsin, this non-registered cultivar is a seedling of H. 'Flor Roja' × H. 'Designer Genes'. It was noted for having very dark, "black" flowers.

According to a comment on Pinterest.com, from the hybridizer, the only plant of this cultivar died but did produce seedlings. MyHostas database says that the mother plant was a hybrid of H. 'KoKuryu'.
