to a deep maroon red, usually quite showy. |

Bark is mottled, exfoliating in
combinations of green gray, orange and brown - similar to
Ulmus parvifolia. |

Fruit is a small drupe ripening in October |

‘Autumn Glow’- Well proportioned head, good leaf texture,
deep purple fall color.
‘Green Vase’- Vase shaped with upright arching branches,
very vigorous,
orange-brown to bronze-red fall color.
‘Parkview’- Good vase-shape.
‘Spring Grove- Vase-shaped form with arching
branches that appear slightly stiffer than ‘Green Vase’.
‘Variegata’- Narrow white rim around the margin of
the leaf; might be a good bonsai subject.
