Yellowish white borne on 7 to 11
rayed cymes that are 4 to 8 inches in diameter.
Not outstanding. Slightly fragrant.
Opposite, simple, evergreen,
ovate-oblong to ovate-lanceolate, 3 to 7” long,
1 to 2 1/2” wide. Evergreen in the warmer climates but
semi-evergreen in northern areas.
Red to black drupe
var. roseum - Pink flower buds that open
yellowish white.
'Variegatum' - Creamy white flowers and
irregularly variegated foliage.
