Loose, unruly shrub.
8 to 12 feet tall with similar spread.
Pinkish red in bud and then white with a tinge of pink. Fragrant, of course.
First Viburnum to bloom in the Northern zones - early April
Opposite, simple, obovate or oval, 1 1/2 to 4” long, 1 to 2 3/4” wide. Leaves emerge bronzish and then turn dark green.
Reddish purple.
Red turning black. Not showy.

‘Candidissimum’
- all white bloom
'Nanum' - dwarf cultivar 2 to 3 feet tall
