Dense, mound
12 inches tall and 12 inches wide
Lilac to pink tubular flowers are borne in dense terminal clusters. Individual flowers are 3/16 inches long.
Summer
Opposite leaves, linear to elliptic, ¼ inches long, slightly tomentose. The edges of the leaves are rolled under (revolute). Lower leaf surface is paler than the upper surface. All plant parts are highly aromatic.
 
 
  • 'Fragrantissimus' - Foliage smells like rose geranium.
  • 'Narrowleaf French' - French Thyme - Most common in cultivation as the source for the culinary thyme.
  • ' orange Balsam' - Foliage has a strong, bitter orange, turpentine-like odor.
