Taxus canadensis Canadian Yew 2 to 6 Newfoundland to Manitoba, Canada and south to Virginia - United States Straggly compared to other yews. 3 to 6 fee tall by 6 to 8 feet wide. Reddish tint in the winter.     Red Perhaps the key problem of members of the genus, Taxus is that they do not tolerate wet, poorly drained soils.   'Stricta' ('Pyramidalis') - Branches are stiffly upright.
