wedge-shaped base, crenate-toothed on upper third of
leaf. The leaf margins are reddish with leaves near the
apex turning a deeper red in the fall. Many of the
leaves are deciduous, but those near the shoot tip are
evergreen and turn red in the winter. |

sometimes occur. Pink flowers.

bronze color. Flowers are scarlet.
- 'Fuldaglut' - Deep red foliage and scarlet flowers. An improved 'Dragon's Blood'.

- 'Variegatum' - Leaves have creamy pink margins.
