Large clump-forming plant |
 |
Flower spikes 24-30 inches tall and a width of
24 inches. |
 |
Clear pink flowers are tightly clustered in a
spike held atop a long, slender, usually
leafless peduncle. This arrangement gives an
appearance of a long pink poker or pink bottle
brush. |

The basal leaves are large and resemble large
paddles. They are 8-10 inches long and 3-5
inches wide. The blade narrows to a petiole,
which is sometimes winged. The leaves are dark
green with a prominent, white midrib. The
foliage resembles the common garden or field
weed, rumex or dock. |
