Groundcover perennial with basal stems and upright flowering stems
12-15 inches tall and the spread is 12 inches.
Leaflike bracts which surround the base of the loosely clustered, showy, blue or lavender flowers. Very symmetrical and composed of 5 petals. The blue flowers are slightly fragrant, which are convolute in bud. The tips of the petals are usually notched or irregularly jagged.
Late spring to early summer
Opposite leaves are sessile. elliptic or lanceolate, ˝ inch wide and 2 inches long. The stems and leaves are viscid-pubescent.
 
 
  • 'Chattahoochee' - Lavender-blue flowers with dark purple centers, long bloom period, 12 inches tall. Hybrid of P. divaricata var. laphamii x P. pilosa.
  • 'Dingo Ice' (Dirgo lce) - PaIe lavender flowers, 8-12 inches tall.
  • 'Fuller's White' - Creamy-white flowers, notched petals, 8-12 inches tall. Prolific bloomer.
