Single magenta-pink
flowers are 1 inch wide and are borne on very long
peduncles. The flowers are profusely produced.
Late spring through
early summer.
Opposite leaves,
oval or oblong to ovate, up to 5 inches long.
The lower leaves have a petiole. the upper
leaves are sessile. The stems and leaves are
grayish-white and densely pubescent.
