Upright clump - Beardless
Up to 5 feet tall and 24 inches wide.
Flowers light yellow, the falls are 1½ inches or less wide the standards are narrow, ¼-½ inch long, erect. There is a brown blotch on the falls.
May-June
Sword-shaped leaves, 1 inch wide, 3-5 feet long and usually glaucous.
 
Can be grown in moist soil on the edge of a stream or pond.
  • var. bastardii - 4 feet tall with creamy yellow flowers.
  • 'Golden Queen' - Larger, yellow flowers.
  • 'Variegata' - Leaves striped with pale yellow markings.
