Hedera helix 'Arborescens'
Adult form of English Ivy
 
 

Juvenile form - simple, entire, with 3-5 lobes and whitish veins. Adult form ('Arborescens”) - simple, entire (no lobes), diamond shaped, without whitish veins.
6-8 inches tall, when used as a groundcover, growing 60 feet or more in height, with a spread of 20 feet when grown as a vine. Adult form present above 10 feet level.
Flowers are greenish white, borne in rounded umbels, in , only on adult form.

Leaves are alternate, 1˝-4 inches long, evergreen, dark green and lustrous, dimorphic in shape, depending upon the age and height of plant.
 
 
 
Fruit is a small, black, berry-like drupe, ripening in April-May.
