Inner sepals are
rose colored, petals are yellow and the spurs
have a touch of red.
New growth is
mottled red and turns pinkish red in the autumn.
'Sulphureum' - more commonly grown in
the home landscape - pale yellow inner
sepals and bright yellow petal spurs. Spring
foliage is not mottled like the species. May also
be sold as Epimedium luteum, Epimedium ochroleucum,
Epimedium pinnatum sulphureum and Epimedium sulphureum
Hybrid resulting
from a cross of E. grandiflorum x E.
pinnatum but more closely resembles E. pinnatum.
