	Perfect, pale yellow flowers borne on 1 to 1.5 inch long racemes. Fragrant.
	April
	Alternate, simple, ovate, acuminate, cordate to subcordate, 2 to 4” long, 1 1/4 to 3” wide. Dark green on top and glaucous on the bottom.
	Large, sessile, solitary or finally short-stalked.
