	Small, rounded tree.
	25 to 35 feet tall
	Small flowers in clusters 4-6 inches wide, like those of C. alternifolia and C. controversa.
	July-August
	Opposite leaves are 4-7 inches long and 3-4 inches wide.
	Relatively smooth, gray.
	Reddish-purple turning bluish-black similar to C. alternifolia.
