Flowers 5-6 inches wide when expanded,
appearing in autumn, with a slender tube several
inches long that elevates the purple-pink
flowers above the ground. The tube is 4-5 times
longer that the individual segments.
August-November
Leaves 4-6 appearing in the spring, broad
oblong, 10-15 inches long, about 3-4 inches wide, obtuse and dark
green.
