The yellow, five way starred heads are 1-1¼ inches wide. The petal tips are slightly notched.
Spring into summer
The opposite leaves are triangular-ovate and have a serrated margin. They are 1-2 inches long and have a long petiole. Early in the season basal leaves are predominant, but the stems elongate later. The stems, leaves and flower peduncles are pubescent.
 
 
  • 'Allen Bush' - 8 inches, rapid grower.
  • 'Mark Viette' - 6 inches, glaucous leaves
  • 'Piccadilly' - Good prostrate form.
  • var. australe - A good ground coven that spreads faster than the species but the flowers are not as showy.
