White with 2 ridges and 2 rows of yellow spots and purple spots on the tubes. They are borne in 8 to 10 inch long panicles.
Late May
Whorled or opposite, simple, 4 to 8” (10”) long, 3 to 8” wide. Unpleasant odor when crushed.
6 to 15 inch long capsule.
'Aurea' - Yellow leaved form.
'Nana' - Dwarf, bushy form.
Not as coarse in texture as other
Catalpa
species.
