Clump-forming perennial
12-18 inches tall by 18 inches wide
Spathe is whitish-green spotted with purple, spadix is yellow. Spadix does not extend past the middle of the spathe blade. The flowers resemble small Jack in the Pulpit flowers.
Late spring
The leaves which rise out of a clump are hastate (spear-shaped) and 12 inches long. Each leaf is conspicuously marbled with grays and creams with a dark green background. The leaves emerge in the fall.
 
 
  • 'Marmoratum' - Very large leaves which are marbled along the veins with yellow-green.
