Erect plant with several arching
wands with white flowers arranged in a bottlebrush
fashion. |

The white bottlebrush-like flowers are arranged
in a terminal raceme. There is usually only one
raceme per stem but there may be one or two
subsidiary racemes that branch from below. The
flower branches are more arching than those of
Cimicifuga racemosa. |

Late summer to mid-fall. |
|
Leaves are ternately compound. Leaflets are
ovate or oblong, irregularly toothed, 1˝-3 inches long. |
