Narrowly pyramidal, with stiff horizontal
branching.

Plants are
monoecious. Cones are reddish in
color, pistillate produced only at the top,
staminate produced throughout.
Needles are directed forward and are dense along the
stem. They are about 3/4 to 1.5 inches long and rounded
at the tip. The foliage lustrous dark green on top with
2 white bands and a sunken midrib on the bottom of the
needle.
Cones are about 6
inches long by 1.75 to 2 inches wide and
cylindrical in form. They are reddish brown in
color.
