Fleabane

This is genus of 150 species of annuals and perennials that have daisy-like flowers in white or purple with yellow centers. The common name comes from an old belief that bunches of the flowers in the house would drive off fleas. Erigeron originates from the Greek word, eri, meaning "spring" and geron, meaning "old man" referring to the white, hairy fruit heads.
