The begonias we
commonly grow in the home landscape fall into three
categories. The wax or seed begonias are grown in
large groupings. Rex begonias with their interesting
foliage can be grown in the ground as an annual or
in pots to be taken indoors in the fall. Tuberous
begonias are a mainstay of the shade but the
tuberous roots are not hardy and need to be stored
for the winter indoors.
