There are a number of fine books
that cover nearly every aspect of hostas and hosta culture in
the home landscape. Listed below are paper and eBooks that might
be of interest for those at all levels of expertise.
For the person relatively new to
hostas, we must recommend (since we wrote it) the eBook,
A Rookie's
Guide to Hostas, Hostas, Hostas. It covers all the basic
information needed to begin to understand about hostas as a
plant, where they come from and the people involved with
promoting and propagating them.
Those who are more seriously into
hostas should probably own the books by Mark Zilis. His
The Hosta
Handbook is great for carrying into the garden while the
giant tome,
The
Hostapedia, is too heavy but deserves a prime place on the
bookshelf.
