The shape of flowers varies quite a bit and so does the length and size of the bloom itself. Generally, the longest flowers will belong to those in or related to the Hosta plantaginea species. Flowers on those hostas may be as long as 6 inches. Most hosta flowers, however, are around 2-3 inches in length and the smaller types may be around an inch long.
