This hybrid of H. venusta x H. ventricosa was registered by The American Hosta Society on behalf of the originator, Alex Summers of Delaware in 1986. It is a large size plant growing to 20 inches in height with a spread of around 55 inches. The green foliage is heart shape, dull on top but shiny on the bottom. Bright purple, semi-bell-shape flowers bloom in July.
