Hosta 'Silvery Slugproof'

Diana Grenfell from England registered this hybrid of H. 'Sieboldiana' x H. 'Tardiflora' in 1996. It forms a medium size (16 inches high by 40 inches wide) mound with blue-green, slightly wavy foliage that has thick substance. Pale lavender flowers bloom in late summer followed by viable seeds.

According to The Hostapedia by Mark Zilis (2009), "...true to its name, it is quite slugproof."

The New Encyclopedia of Hostas by Diana Grenfell (2009) states: "Tolerates some morning sun in cooler climates, otherwise light to moderate shade. Moderate growth rate."
