According to
The Hostapedia by Mark Zilis (2009), "H. 'Silver Crown' = H.
SILVER CROWN = 'Fortunei Albomarginata'"
After reading a bit more on this
subject, I think I now understand it. When a cultivar name is in
ALL CAPS, it is a commercial or tradename by which the plants have been
traditionally sold at nurseries. In this case, the plants that
have been sold as H. SILVER CROWN (or H. 'Silver Crown')
were mislabeled and should
have been labeled, H. 'Fortunei Albomarginata'. Hope that makes
sense. It is still a remnant of the historical jumble of names
in Hostadom.
