This is one of many, many open-pollinated seedlings out of H. 'Elegans'. It was registered by Loleta Powell of Powell's Iris Haven in North Carolina in 1983. The large size mound of shiny, dark green foliage grows about 24 inches tall with a spread of around 60 inches. Leaves are heavily corrugated, unruly and have thick substance. Its near white flowers bloom from late June into July.
