This hybrid of
H. sieboldii is of unidentified origin and was registered by Mark Zilis of Illinois in 2010. It forms a small size plant
about 6 inches high by 13 inches wide with medium green foliage that has a wide
white medial (center) variegation. The leaves are moderately wavy, slightly
folded, slightly corrugated, elliptic and dull on top. Purple, tubular flowers
bloom in August.
The Book of Little Hostas by
Kathy and Michael Shadrack
(2010) says: "A difficult plant to grow. It requires bright light
but not strong sunshine to give of its best."
Previously, this cultivar was credited to
Paul Aden of New York who named and introduced it into the nursery trade but it is now listed as being
of unidentified origin .
