Hosta 'Passionate Pink'
 

Don Dean of Minnesota registered this hybrid of H. 'Strawberry Surprise' × a seedling of H. 'Sun Power' in 2011. It is a large size plant that grows to 22 inches in height with a spread of 38 inches. The leaves are golden yellow, slightly rippled, moderately cupped, slightly wavy, heavily corrugated and dull on top. Medium lavender, bell-shape flowers bloom from June into July. It sets viable seeds. Scapes are described as "...medium green light blush of burgundy...

The registration materials state: "...large rugose gold with light green bracts, flowers with red lavender base, bracts heavily blushed pink...inflorescence leaves heavily blushed rose pink."
