A medium size (11 inches
high by 23 inches wide) hosta, this cultivar of unidentified parentage was registered by
Ron Snyder of Minnesota in
1999. Its medium green foliage has a greenish yellow
marginal variegation. Purple flowers bloom in July. According to
The Hostapedia by Mark Zilis (2009), "...found no differences between it and 'Golden Tiara'.
Confirming this conclusion is the fact that its
gold-leaved sport, 'Celery Satin', appears identical to
'Golden Scepter', the gold-leaved sport of 'Golden
Tiara'."
