Originated
by
Dr. Ralph (Herb)
and Dorothy Benedict of Michigan and registered on
their behalf by
Rod Kuenster and
The American Hosta
Society in
2010,
this cultivar is of unidentified parentage.
It is a large size hosta about 18 inches high by 26
inches wide with golden yellow foliage. The nearly round
foliage is slightly cupped, slightly folded and heavily
corrugated. Near white flowers bloom from July into
August on scapes 24 to 30 inches tall followed by viable
seeds.
The registration materials state: "...yellow with heavy
corrugation and deep veining According to
The Hostapedia by Mark Zilis (2009), "...H. 'Sieboldiana'
in its background. Unfortunately, it does develop some spring desiccation
burn."
