Hosta 'Mariachi'

This cultivar is a sport of H. 'Guacamole' which was registered by Mark Zilis of Illinois in 2010. The leaves are medium green with a chartreuse colored marginal variegation. It is a large size (22 inches high by 50 inches wide) cultivar with broadly ovate, moderately wavy foliage with better than average substance. The flowers are pale lavender and bloom from mid-August into September. This is the chimeral reversal of the mother plant and the margin becomes golden yellow later in the season.
