This is a sport of H. 'Artist's Palette' was registered by Bob Kuk of Kuk's Forest in Ohio in 1995. It forms a medium size (18 inches high) mound with slightly wavy leaves. The pale lavender flowers bloom in August.

According to The Hostapedia by Mark Zilis (2009), this cultivar "...is better in the garden than 'Artist's Palette', its mother plant. The sharp contrast between the margin and leaf center produces a nice effect."
