This cultivar is a hybrid of H. 'Niagara Falls' × H. 'Grand Canyon' which was registered by Floyd Rogers of Illinois in 2003. It forms a large size mound of dark green foliage.

The leaves are heavily rippled, oblong-ovate shaped, convexly cupped, thick textured, piecrusted and heavily corrugated. It bears pale purple flowers in July.
