Hosta 'Great Lakes'

This plant was registered as a seedling of Hosta sieboldiana aureamarginata (now named H. 'Frances Williams') by Eunice V. Fisher of Wisconsin in 1973. It forms a giant size plant about 27 inches high by 50 inches wide. The leaves are moderately corrugated and have a heart shaped base. Near white flowers bloom from late June into July.

According to The Hostapedia by Mark Zilis (2009), "...becomes a magnificent mound of grayish blue-green foliage. In the early 1980s, many collectors grew this plant, but it is rarely seen anymore."
