A seedling of H. 'Gold Regal', this cultivar was registered in 1998 by Dr. Ralph (Herb) Benedict of Michigan. It is a large size plant (23 inches high by 40 inches wide) with dark green foliage that has a gold marginal variegation. The leaves are broadly ovate, heavily corrugated and have thick substance. Lavender flowers bloom in July followed by many seed pods.
