this large size (24 inches high by 32 inches wide)
cultivar is a seedling of H. 'Ruffled
Up'. It is a bright gold hosta with slightly rippled
leaf margins. The broadly ovate leaves are dull on top,
slightly cupped and moderately corrugated with prominent
veins. Pale lavender flowers bloom from June into July
on scapes 28 to 32 inches tall followed by viable seeds. The
registration materials state: "...Thick, puckered &
cupped, vivid gold leaves with lime green petioles.
Prominent veins retain some green coloration...emerges
green turning bright gold soon." |
